Acceptance requirements
Institute for Molecular Science (IMS) provides opportunities of joint researches as an Inter-University Research Institute Corporation. IMS accepts graduate students as special inter-university researchers by requests from national, public and private universities. IMS cooperates on graduate university education by the instruction of the graduate students. Please refer to the following for application.

Application term
One year from April, 2019.Acceptance may be permitted even during the fiscal year if it is considered necessary. In this particular case the acceptance term should be more than 6 months and end on the last day of the fiscal year. Extension of the term for students in master’s program (doctoral program (first semester)) is 1 year maximum.
Application deadline
February 13, 2019In the case of (above described) application during the fiscal year, the deadline is one month before the desired month of acceptance.
Review process and notice of result
Based on the documents to be submitted, the Director General will decide to accept after deliberation by the special inter-university researcher acceptance review committee. The notice will inform the president or the dean.Theme of research and instruction

- IMS does not prepare accident compensation system. For students in Japanese universities, please join the “Gakkensai Insurance” (Personal Accident Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and Research) with “Futaibaiseki” (Insurance for Accidents Involving Third Parties or Their Property) run by Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES) at your university before the application. This insurance can be applied to accidents happened in IMS. For overseas students, please consider subscribing accident insurance similar to the above yourself.
